The Berlin-based company GIATA, as a technology partner of Hotelstars Union, is now delivering the official star category. All users of the GIATA service MultiCodes from now on can retrieve the name of the certifying state organisation as well as the classification on a daily basis and are entitled to use the term “stars” or the star symbol for officially classified operations. Hoteliers already using the GIATA Drive content management and distribution platform can communicate the acquired classification to thousands of international companies along the entire tourism value chain thanks to a large partner network.
Kalina Nikolova, Head of Sales at GIATA, speaks enthusiastically: “We are delighted to count on Hotelstars Union as a reliable partner by our side. Our cooperation means that the entire tourism sector now has a central channel for the provision of stars.”
“Using the technology and the network of GIATA enables hotels in 18 member countries to share their acquired classification globally and in doing so, ensure that only those accommodation providers that are actually classified advertise with stars. This is how we can achieve far-reaching transparency and guarantee transnational consumer protection against false stars,” explains Markus Luthe, President of the Hotelstars Union.
