Sustainability
Acknowledging that sustainability is a multi-faceted approach that embraces social, environmental, economic, and governance aspects of businesses in the long term, SETE aligns its business with the UN SDGs for 2030, the principles of Sustainable Development and the ESG criteria, in order to actively support the sustainability transformation of the Greek Tourism Sector.
The transition to a sustainable development model is a strategic pillar of the National Strategy for Greek Tourism, an initiative of SETE, in the framework of the “Greek Tourism 2030” study. Our mission is to constantly strengthen Greek Tourism’s competitiveness and to highlight its leading role as well as its tangible and positive impact on society and the economy.
As a responsible and active Social Partner, SETE has commenced its own sustainability transformation journey, proceeding with a materiality analysis and stakeholder mapping in order to develop an Action Plan in line with emerging sustainable development trends and standards.
Together with its two operational arms, Marketing Greece and INSETE, SETE actively participates in the public dialogue on the transition to a sustainable tourism model, the development of relevant tools and practices, and in educating the Greek Tourism Sector and Greek society at large on sustainability issues.
