Fraport Greece was created in 2015 and is responsible for maintaining, operating, managing, upgrading and developing 14 regional airports in Greece over a period of 40 years. The operational transfer of the airports to Fraport Greece took place on April 11th, 2017.

Fraport Greece is responsible for operating the Aktion, Chania, Corfu, Kavala, Kefalonia, Kos, Mykonos , Mytilini Rhodes, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thessaloniki and Zakynthos.   

As part of its mandate for taking over management and operations at the 14 airports, Fraport Greece implements a comprehensive plan for the modernization and development of the airports. The company’s plan includes immediate projects and development works for upgrading the airports’ facilities, which will contribute significantly to improving the overall customer travel experience, while responding to the expected increase in passenger traffic. Fraport Greece invests a minimum of 415million euros for development works until 2021.

Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees. We are convinced that our focus on high-quality services to customers, qualified and trained employees and compliance with safety and security regulations makes the operation of the 14 Greek regional airports a great long-term success.

The shareholders of Fraport Greece are Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide, the Copelouzos Group and Marguerite the 2020 European Fund.
