The company was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of a German brewing group, and a year later it acquired the plant in Atalanti, a region in central Greece. At the same time, the company was reorganized and renamed to Hellenic Brewery of Atalanti. In 1998, Syrianos family bought the shares held by the German subsidiary with a management buyout, resulting, five years later, in the company’s transition to a 100% Greek ownership. Hellenic Brewery of Atalanti has evolved into a highly dynamic company with a portfolio of local and imported beers of excellent quality. Hellenic Brewery of Atalanti produces five fine beer products, specifically Pils Hellas, eza premium pilsener & eza fine lager, BLUE Ιsland,Odyssey Special Beer, and it imports Gulden Draak. The company has more than 180 skilled employees, while an integrated state-of-the-art program, compliant with international standards for beer production, is applied in production procedures and environmental care. During the last five years, EZA has invested 29.8 mio Euros, in new state of the art production lines.
