Stathis is a journalist, a member of ESIEA ( Journalists’ Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers ). From 2017 he took over the position of communication consultant and then the Press Office of SETE. From 1990 to 2017, he was financial editor at the newspaper “Kathimerini”. From 1994 to 2017 he was responsible for tourism reporting. At the same time, from 2005 to 2010, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the travel-tourist show “Menoume Ellada” which was daily broadcasting by ERT. He collaborated as a columnist for tourism issues from 1994 to 2005 with the newspaper “Isotimia” and from 2000 to 2001 with the newspaper “Symvoulos”. His articles and reports have been published in travel magazines and specialized travel guides such as Traveling News, Gold Art Conference, TTG Greece & Cyprus, Greece and Tourism, Tourism Market, Money and Tourism, Money By Metropolis, Travelogue and Tourism and Property. He was the first journalist who participated in the foundation team of the tourist site tornosnews.gr, in 2014. He has coordinated discussions on issues related to Greek tourism and has repeatedly covered since 1996 the Greek presence in the largest tourism fairs in the world. He studied Journalism at the “Ergastiri Dimosiografias”, from where he graduated in 1991.
